Sport: Ski jumping

Age: 22

Hometown: Calgary, Alta.

Accomplishments:

  • One career top-10 finish on the World Cup circuit.
  • Four career top-30 finishes on the World Cup circuit.

Interesting Fact: In February 2013 Boyd-Clowes made history when he became the first Canadian ski jumper to ever jump further than 200 metres. He jumped 205 metres in Harrachov, Czech Republic.

Chances: Like his teammate Atsuko Tanaka, Boyd-Clowes is coming off a career-best world cup finish (9th) in January 2014. But he isn’t expected to be close to the podium in Sochi.
