Alexxuss
Knight is the alter ego of Nicole Robinson, a fashionista with a
passion for all things beautiful. Nicole’s love affair with fashion and
beauty began at 14 when her sister won a partial scholarship to
Barbizon modeling school. Considering that the dynamic duo did
everything together it only made sense that they would both attend the
modeling school. Barbizon started Nicole on a path that has swerved,
twisted, doubled back on itself, but never quite went away.
While
in high-school she had the opportunity to produce, and host a
television show aired on Rogers community TV that was created by
teenagers for teenagers. It was her exposure to modeling and Television
that drove her to understand the industry in which she desired to work.
Throughout her high school career, Nicole took the lessons taught to
her and used them to produce fashion shows. While her love of fashion
didn’t wan she decided after high school to pursue an education in
business, even though while she was in college she continued to produce
and model in fashion shows. After completing her Diploma in Marketing
at George Brown College Nicole left her beloved city of Toronto behind
and moved to Windsor ON to obtain her degree in Business, while there
she assisted in the production of Windsor’s famed Sports weekend Fashion
show where she choreographed, trained models, and liaised with
designers.
Since
returning to Toronto Nicole has focused on utilizing her education in
business to build her career. In her positions as Marketing and Project
Coordinator and Promotional Sales Coordinator she was able to obtain
some of the experiences and skills necessary to confidently undertake
and organize shoots developing the creatives behind them and choosing
the right photographer, MUA’s, hairstylists, and models to suit the
needs of each individual she has had the opportunity to work with. She
has since directed shoots for photographers, lifestyle branding
companies, on-line publications and most recently Sway Magazine.

In
2010 Nicole began a fashion blog called “the backstage life” with a
mandate to expose readers to what happens behind the scenes in fashion.
The creation and development of her blog is what lead her to cover LG
Toronto Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 collections her first real
venture into fashion event coverage which completely changed everything
for her blog.
Nicole’s
goal is to enhance and add to her already growing portfolio of work,
continuing to creative direct and continue to shed light on all of the
amazing people who work in fashion.
