WINNIPEG – Officers are investigating what they are calling suspicious death in the Elmwood area on Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to the first 100 block of Stadacona Street just north of Talbot Avenue around 7:40 a.m. and found a woman lying outside in need of help.
The person was found in the back lane behind an apartment complex, a witness told Global News.

A 41-year-old woman was rushed to hospital. She later died.
Several police vehicles were parked in front of the apartment building on Stadacona Wednesday afternoon.
Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
