KELOWNA — An alleged gangster in Kelowna is off the hook on drug charges after being arrested last February when police raided his downtown condo.
RCMP reported finding a large quantity of cocaine and heroin in the condo as well as 11 cell phones and items associated with drug trafficking.
Matthew Shrader,38, and his girlfriend Janay Pratt,23, were both charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
At the time, police said Shrader had well documented links to several organized crime groups.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Tuesday but instead the charges against both accused were stayed by the prosecutor.
