WINNIPEG — Canadian talent is one of the areas Blue Bomber rookie general manager Kyle Walters identified as needing improvement.
CFL teams can accomplish that in two ways: through the draft or free agent signings.
The Bombers signed three non-imports Friday — kicker Lirim Hajrullahu and wide receivers Jordan Brescacin and Taylor Renaud.

Lirim Hajrullahu, from St. Catharines, Ont., spent the past five seasons with the Western Mustangs, where his 402 points made him the all-time leader in Mustangs history. He also holds the Mustangs’ record for most career field goals with 72.
After five seasons with the Windsor Lancers, Jordan Brescacin was on the Ti-Cats practice roster in 2012. The 6-4 receiver set an Ontario University Athletics record with 68 receptions while leading the CIS with 979 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 2012. His 192 career receptions are the most in OUA history.
Taylor Renaud is from Winnipeg and was in the Bombers’ training camp last year. At St. Mary’s University, Renaud led the Atlantic Conference in receiving his last two seasons and was named a second-team All-Canadian in his final year.
