In profile: First lady Michelle Obama turns 50

Michelle Obama turns 50 on Friday.

The first lady told People magazine that women should be free to do whatever they need to do to feel good.

While Obama said she doesn’t imagine resorting to plastic surgery or Botox, she’s also learned to “never say never.”

“I have never felt more confident in myself, more clear on who I am as a woman,” said Obama.

A big birthday bash is planned Saturday at the White House.
