OLIVER — RCMP in Oliver have two people in custody in connection with a series of mailbox thefts in the area.
The most recent incident happened Saturday, January 11 when two sets of mailboxes, approximately 20 mailboxes in total, were broken into at the intersection of Willowbrook Road and Lillian Road in Oliver.

Police believe Saturday’s theft might be related to numerous other thefts from rural and municipal mailboxes.
In the wake of the thefts, police are reminding residents to empty their mailboxes daily.
