A fire in a West Kelowna industrial area has been doused.
The building between Westlake Road and Ross Road, in the 1400 block of Industrial Road, was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning. Thick plumes of smoke are being kicked up and can be seen far from the site, while nearby businesses were evacuated for safety purposes.
The RCMP asked motorists to use an alternate route to get to their destinations and the fire was in mop up by mid afternoon.
