1 dead in 2-vehicle collision on Highway 7 in Lindsay

One person died following a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 7 in Lindsay on July 15, 2024 – Jul 16, 2024

One person is dead following  a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 in Lindsay, Ont., on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the collision involving a car and an SUV.

At least two people were seen being transported to hospital.

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP reported the highway was closed from Greenfield Road to Angeline Street in the west end.

Around 9:30 p.m., OPP in a statement on X said the highway was reopened, noting one individual died in the crash.

OPP said a 57-year-old man from Lindsay was pronounced dead in hospital. The other driver was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

OPP ask anyone with information on the collision to call them at 1-888-310-1122.
