23-year-old man dead after shooting in Toronto’s north end

WATCH: A 23-year-old man has died in Toronto's latest shooting at a condominium near Victoria Park and Finch avenues. One neighbour tells Jaden Lee-Lincoln she woke up Thursday to the sound of multiple gunshots.

Toronto Police say a 23-year-old man has died after a shooting in the city’s north end early Thursday.

Police said the shooting happened at a condominium near Finch Avenue and Cherokee Boulevard, just west of Victoria Park Avenue, at around 3 a.m.

Det. Sajeev Nair told reporters witnesses said two suspects were seen shooting at a man.

A man was found with gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital, Nair said. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

There is no word on a suspect description or what exactly led to the shooting.

Nair said police believe this was a targeted shooting.
