TORONTO — It may have been a frosty Christmas for Canadian TV personality Dean McDermott, who has been accused of cheating on wife Tori Spelling.
According to Us Weekly, McDermott strayed while in Toronto in early December to promote his new Food Network series Chopped Canada.
McDermott, a Toronto native, has been married to Spelling for seven years. The couple has four children: Liam, 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 16 months.
The 47-year-old actor and reality show star is noticeably absent from the family Christmas photos that Spelling, 40, has been tweeting since the cheating allegations went public.
On Sunday, Spelling tweeted that the “kids and I are having dinner.”
McDermott has tweeted only once since Dec. 20.
Neither has addressed the Us Weekly cover story, which declared: “Cheating Bombshell: Tori Betrayed.”

According to the magazine, McDermott met Emily Goodhand during a group dinner on Dec. 6 at Pravda Vodka Bar on Toronto’s Wellington Street. As the group walked back to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Front Street, Goodhand claims McDermott was flirting.

“His personality is very charming,” the 28-year-old told Us Weekly. “I was drinking, so what he said is blurry. But he was talking about his kids and his work.”
While enjoying more drinks at the Library Bar inside the Royal York, Goodhand claimed McDermott quietly slipped his key card and a piece of paper with his room number into her purse.
“We just looked at each other.”
Goodhand alleged she went to his room later and the two had sex — with “protection” — and McDermott asked her to stay and cuddle.
“He told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage,” she is quoted as saying. “I believed him.”
Goodhand said McDermott texted her the following day and invited her back to his hotel. When she arrived at around 1:00 a.m., he was with a male friend.
According to Goodhand, McDermott opened his laptop and showed her an image from a 2009 sex tape he made with Spelling. After his friend left, the pair ordered a clubhouse sandwich and fries from the late night dining menu.
She said they did not have sex.
In the Us Weekly report, Goodhand offered an apology to Spelling.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I f***ed up.”
McDermott was married to Canadian TV personality Mary Jo Eustace when he started a relationship with Spelling, his co-star in the 2009 made-in-Ottawa TV movie Mind Over Murder. He and Eustace have a son, Jack, and had just adopted a daughter when he left her for Spelling, who was married to Charlie Shanian.
McDermott and Spelling were married in May 2006.
This past summer, the couple filmed a new reality series, Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever in Orillia, Ont. It is set to debut in the new year.
Reps for Spelling and McDermott have not commented on Goodhand’s allegations. She could not be reached for comment.
