‘Twas the Night Before Christmas…

Santa is on his way!!!  Here’s your Okanagan Christmas weather poem and forecast. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
~Duane/Wesla

T’was the night before Christmas
And all through the Valley,
Will there be snow in the forecast?
It’s important to tally.

High pressure will keep active weather away,
And mostly dry, the Okanagan will stay.
Just a slight risk of flurries for us Christmas Day,
With a better chance of rain or snow coming Friday.

When Friday’s trough moves through Southern BC
A weak disturbance might bring some flurries.
Temps will be seasonal for the next several days
Santa will enjoy the Okanagan if he chooses to stay!

Now that it’s Winter, we’re gaining daylight,
On Christmas we’ll gain 21 seconds of bright,
Although our day length will continue to grow,
Higher elevations will still have some snow.

If you’re heading to the mountains, please drive with care
At this time of year, the roads aren’t always fair.
Icy roads are always possible at this time of year
Don’t drink and drive – not even one beer.

We can’t control what nature will brings us,
But if a storm’s coming, we’ll make a big fuss!
Have a safe holiday season whatever you do,
Thank you for watching, Merry Christmas to you!
