Crews were busy Friday clearing roads and salting sidewalks as snow fell in many parts of British Columbia, but conditions eased off by the afternoon.
The snowfall warning was lifted at around 3 p.m., with Environment Canada reporting an estimated 10 centimetres in Metro Vancouver, 12 centimetres in Victoria and five centimetres in Nanaimo.

The snow caused transit, traffic and flight delays, as well as some cancellations at the Vancouver International Airport.
Many schools were also closed due to the snow.
Environment Canada is predicting rain for Friday evening and no more snow for at least a week, meaning chances are slim for a white Christmas.
