Eastbound traffic on the William R. Bennett Bridge slowed to a crawl Wednesday morning as commuters navigated around a broken-down flatbed semi-truck hauling an excavator.

The right lane was blocked for around an hour, backing traffic up until Hudson Road in West Kelowna until well after 9:20 a.m. when the lane was cleared.
