A 64-year-old woman is dead after a fire broke out in her Langley home last night.
Fire crews were first called to reports of smoke showing from the home’s carport at approximately 9 p.m. near Grade Crescent and 203rd Street. By the time firefighters arrived there were flames shooting from the roof of the home.

Once they were able to get inside, firefighters found the body of a 64-year-old woman, who was the only person home at the time.
It’s unknown what caused the fire and the victim’s name has not been released.
