Man faces impaired charge after blowing 3 times legal limit

BARRIE, Ont. – Barrie police say a man faces charges after blowing more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit.

Police say a gas station operator reported being concerned about a man filling up his vehicle.

The man had driven away by the time police arrived Friday evening.

Police received several calls about the motorist has he drove north on Highway 400, and he was stopped at an exit (Duckworth Street).

A 53-year-old Toronto man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit, driving while disqualified and failing to comply with probation.
