OPP investigate after Brampton resident killed by vehicle in Caledon

A pedestrian killed Saturday following a roadside accident in Caledon, Ont., appears to have been the driver of a car who’d gotten out of their own vehicle and fallen into the path of another car, according to a preliminary OPP investigation.

Investigators also said the person who died was a 48-year-old from Brampton.

The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday on Tim Manley Drive. The pedestrian who was struck was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The victim was later pronounced dead.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward as they continue to investigate.
