Three hospitalized after Burnaby apartment fire

Three people are in hospital, including one in critical condition, after an apartment fire in Burnaby early Monday morning.

The three-alarm blaze broke out on the eighth floor of the 20-storey residential tower at 7272 Kingsway, beside the Edmonds Community Centre, around 3 a.m.

By 6 a.m., the fire had been extinguished and residents were allowed back into their suites.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
