Residents in Saskatoon may see a big bison mascot with “Vote Horny” or “Vote Rowdy” emblazoned on their jersey over the next few weeks as the Saskatchewan Rush get ready to decide their final mascot name with an in-person election.
Online voting wrapped up last week, with the names Horny and Rowdy being the top contenders, but the team said the margin was slim, so further debate was needed.
The in-person election will be held on Nov. 18 at the FEZ (105-2803 Faithful Avenue ) with the winner being announced on Nov. 22.
The mascots will be campaigning over the next few weeks before the final decision is made.
