A Ford truck hit a piece of construction equipment on Orchards Boulevard and Hawthorn Way on Friday morning.
In an update, Edmonton police said a 20-year-old man was driving a stolen Ford pickup truck and struck a zoom boom at around 6:15 a.m.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

“A number of charges are pending against the driver,” said Edmonton police.
Police believe impairment was a factor in this collision.
