A winter storm is blowing its way through Lethbridge, causing whiteouts and dangerous driving conditions.
The winter storm moved into west central Alberta on Sunday from the northwest and began affecting the southern regions overnight.

Snow accumulations between 15 to 30 cm are expected in most areas.

What’s making conditions worse, however, is the strong winds blowing from the north.

The winds, which may reach gusts of up to 80 km/h, are expected to reduce visibility very quickly.
Lethbridge RCMP are urging people to stay off the roads.
The blizzard conditions are expected to continue overnight and end late Tuesday afternoon.
