SASKATOON – Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for southern Saskatchewan.
The storm will intensify on Monday with snowfall increasing throughout the day over the warned areas, with 15 to 25 centimetres possible by Tuesday morning. The highest amounts are expected along and south of Highway 1 and in Cypress Hills.
Travel is currently not recommended on all highways in the Swift Current area.
Conditions should gradually improve Tuesday afternoon as the system moves into the Dakotas.

As the system moves out, frigid arctic air will move in by mid-week with daytime highs in the minus 20 range.
