Germany’s largest Pride celebration turned tragic Saturday night in what authorities are calling a terrorist attack. Police say an Islamist extremist drove a vehicle into the crowds and then went on a stabbing spree, killing one person and injuring 29 others. As Candice Cole reports, the attack sparked a massive manhunt that ended after German police found, shot and killed the 21-year-old suspect. Prime Minister Mark Carney has called three byelections to be held this summer in B.C., Ontario and Quebec. With the votes taking place on Aug, 31, the Liberals will need to win at least one of the three to maintain their majority government. Jillian Piper reports on the candidates and the stakes. After months of delays and political gridlock, the Gordie Howe International Bridge is expected to open to traffic Monday, July 27.
