WATCH: Hilarious new trailer for ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’

TORONTO — Ron Burgundy has landed the anchor’s job at Global News –the fictional Global News Network in New York City, that is.

Will Ferrell, as Burgundy, is back in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues — a sequel to the 2004 comedy.

This time, San Diego’s top newsman is heading to the Big Apple to work at an all-news cable channel.

“They came to reclaim the glory they once knew,” Bill Kurtis says in the voiceover in a hilarious new trailer for the movie, which opens Dec. 20.

“Undaunted by the challenges they faced, they would not rest until they were No. 1 again.”

Ferrell is seen once again with Steve Carell as Brick Tamland, Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana and David Koechner as Champ Kind.

Toronto natives Jim Carrey and Drake are among the stars who reportedly make cameos in the movie.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy opened in second place in 2004 with $28 million and went on to make only $90 million at the box office worldwide.
