Halton police say nearly a third of the trucks they inspected in a safety blitz west of Toronto were pulled off the road.

They say 157 of the 403 commercial and light commercial trucks they reviewed in Milton during a two day blitz this week failed the safety check.
They say a total of 249 charges were laid under provincial legislation.
