VERNON — Sentencing is expected in a Vernon courtroom today for a Vernon man convicted of online sex crimes with young girls.
Connor Dee, 28, has pleaded guilty to 13 charges including extortion and possession of child porn involving five Okanagan girls under age 17.
One victim was just 11 when she was lured to a Kelowna park by Dee who sexually assaulted her and took pictures.
Crown and defence are both seeking a two year jail term — which would mean Dee could walk out of court today, when time-served is counted — but the provincial court judge hearing the case has already questioned whether a two-year term is appropriate, considering the severity of the crimes.
