Watch Lefkoe’s segment above on 90s rap references
TORONTO – Louisville sports anchor, and viral video sensation Adam Lefkoe is back with another sports broadcast, this time busting-out classic rap references for five straight minutes.
From Skee-Lo to the Beastie Boys to Jay-Z, Lefkoe combines 46 rap references into his evening sports segment which you can see in the video above.
Lines like “I’m sure BBN wishes they were a little taller,” “He got the job done, like Big Daddy Kane,” and “Western fans were singing la di da di, we got Bobby,” had social media and sports message boards lighting up.
Lefkoe of WHAS 11 News has gained internet stardom with previous broadcasts that include as “SeinfeldCast” (40 Seinfeld references in a sports recap), and “Wrestlecast” (referencing 30 professional wrestling names).

Lefkoe who has reached out through social media in the past to crowd-source ideas and themes for his nightly reports and has written on his blog about the changing nature of sports journalism.
“The local sportscast is dying. The emergence of all-sports channels and catered fan websites has rendered this medium mundane,” he wrote on his blog.
