MONTREAL – Constable Stéfanie Trudeau, famously known as Agent 728, will not be facing any criminal charges over an incident at student protests this May.
Trudeau was caught on film repeatedly pepper-spraying a young protester.
This isn’t the first time Constable Trudeau has been accused of being over-aggressive with the public; she was suspended and ordered to seek psychiatric treatment, October 2nd, 2012, after becoming somewhat of a viral sensation for videos showing her abusive behavior.
The chief prosecutor’s office released a statement Wednesday claiming to have analyzed the case and decided that they would not be seeking any criminal charges.
The statement said the video did not show a concrete account of the events leading up to the pepper-spraying, thus, not providing enough evidence to prosecute.
