MONCTON – An unfortunate series of events on a New Brunswick highway has led to the death of a cyclist.
RCMP say a vehicle crashed into a truck that it was attempting to pass on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Salisbury weigh scales today.
The impact pushed the truck into a bicycle that was travelling on the shoulder of the highway.
Police say the cyclist died from his injuries.
RCMP are still investigating, but say they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.
The name of the victim hasn’t been released pending notification of next of kin.
