We could soon be seeing Las Vegas style sports gambling in casinos across Ontario.
As casinos continue to see a decline in revenues because of fewer American visitors, the Mcguinty government is calling on Ottawa to amend the Criminal Code and create casino “Sportsbooks.”
The Sportsbook is an area set a side featuring tv screens, and scoreboards.
People would be able to bet on everything from football, hockey to baseball.
Currently the only legalized sports betting is limited to the government-run Pro-Line lottery.
