MONTREAL – Police have apprehended a 29-year-old man after two people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident in downtown Montreal early Monday morning.
Two men, one 27, the other 24, were hit by by a black BMW at around 1:10 a.m. on Ste. Catherine St., between Mackay St. and Guy St.
Several witnesses were able to describe the car, and the driver was stopped by police at the corner of Sherbrooke St. and Bishop St.
The driver was arrested and could face charges of impaired driving causing bodily injury.
Both victims are in stable in condition, although one has suffered serious injures with multiple fractures.
