TORONTO – Niagara Police have secured the extradition of a man wanted in connection with an international drug trafficking ring as well as a daylight murder in Toronto’s Little Italy neighbourhood last summer.

Al Khalil and Nero, a former competitive bodybuilder in Niagara, were also charged in November in connection with the drug trafficking ring that led to the arrest of Caputo.

“This investigation is part of our combined, ongoing efforts to disrupt supply chains of drugs before they can be dealt on the streets and in our communities,” Niagara Regional Police Chief Jeff McGuire said.

Alfonso Inclima, Nebojsa Dronjak, Mohamed Reza Amin Torabi and Tawnya Del Ben Fletcher have also been charged with various offences related to drug trafficking.

Correction: A previous version of this story cited incorrect information from police investigators that stated Caputo had been attempting to use a false passport. That information was incorrect and the story has been updated to reflect the new information.
