TORONTO – Held once every 20 years since 1593, the Itate Hyozu Shrine in Himeji, Japan, hosts the Mitsuyama Taisai Festival.

The main attractions of the festival are three 18-metre floats, or “mountains.” During the event, priests from the Shrine welcome gods from across the country and pray for peace and prosperity.
