Sending your kids back to school? Share your first-day-of-class photos

For the first day of school we asked readers to send us in those iconic, polished porch pictures. The Global News audience responded with gusto, by taking to social media to send us those photos. And are they ever cute! Using the hashtag #firstdaypix2017 here’s what we were able to curate from you.

How about this throwback? It’s from Tim Morgan, a morning host at BOOM FM in Ottawa, who writes: “This is my sister and I posing for a back to school fashion photo shoot  in 1983 for a local Vancouver newspaper .  That’s my mom waving us off in the background! Cringe!!!”

Older kids got in on the act too… or rather their parents did. They didn’t seem quite as happy to be returning, however.
