Two Sûrete du Québec officers suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident in Saint-Liboire at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to SQ spokesperson Audrey-Anne Bilodeau.

Police say the incident took place on Rang Saint Georges, approximately one hour east of Montreal, when a man in his 20s was speeding in front of an SQ vehicle. The man braked, and police say the two officers were forced to avoid the car. They ended up in a ditch.

The driver was charged with dangerous driving and released on condition of appearing in court.
