Investigators are still looking into the cause of a massive fire at a recycling plant in Southern California late Friday afternoon.
Local media say the fire broke out around four o’clock near the LA-Ontario International Airport.
Large plumes of smoke were seen billowing out of the facility which, according to local media, processes bundles of cardboard and plastic water bottles.
“It was like a scene from hell,” one witness said.
Media quoted fire officials as saying that freight services through the area had been halted as a precaution.
No damages to homes had been reported.
