Public consultations are now underway for a potential fixed link between the Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast.
Several options are up for discussion, including a bridge, or a series of highway routes. Any project would cost billions of dollars and a final decision is still a long way off.

All of the public feedback will be incorporated into a process that also includes a technical study.
“I’d like to see us get to the point where we’re improving the connectivity to the Sunshine Coast and increasingly creating options for people,” said West Vancouver-Sea to Sky MLA, Jordan Sturdy.
