A fight between two students near Beaconsfield High School (BHS) in Montreal’s West Island has left one teenage girl in hospital and a second in custody.
The victim is 16-years-old and was slashed with a knife on the forehead and arm.
She is in hospital for stitches.
The fight took place off school property on the opposite side of the highway near a shopping centre and foot bridge which connects to Elm Street.
BHS is located on Beaurepaire Drive, bordering Highway 20.
Montreal police suggested BHS enforce a soft lockdown, which was lifted at around 1 p.m.
