A fire broke out at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in Pointe-Claire.

The blaze took place at 76 Queen Avenue and caused approximately $75,000 in damages, according to Sylvain Legros, operations chief at the Montreal fire department.

It took around 30 firefighters to put out the fire shortly after it started in a nearby shed and spread to the home.

The house is currently under renovation.

Nobody was living at the house during construction, according to Legros.
