West Vancouver Police have arrested a 49-year-old man suspected in a series of six recent robberies in four Metro Vancouver municipalities.
The arrest followed a Sept. 19 robbery at a bank on the 1500 block of Marine Drive. Police say a male suspect told a bank teller he had a weapon and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was not located at the time, but West Vancouver Police later identified the suspect vehicle which was seen being driven erratically after the bank robbery.
The police department teamed up with investigators in Burnaby, New Westminster, and Vancouver to identify a suspect in connection with six recent robberies across the Lower Mainland.
A man was arrested while fleeing another robbery on Tuesday in the 8300 block of Granville Street.
He is now facing multiple charges.
