Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks crashed a wedding photo shoot in Central Park Saturday, stopping mid-jog to congratulate the newlyweds.
The Sully star shook the groom’s hand, kissed the bride’s hand and posed for some pictures, even offering to officiate the ceremony, according to The Huffington Post.
“He asked if they needed a wedding officiant, because he is an ordained minister,” New York City photographer Meg Miller said.

This isn’t the first time Hanks has crashed a wedding, according to the Daily Dot. He stopped to congratulate a couple while filming Forrest Gump in South Carolina in 1993.
“I saw this light blue Lincoln at the stop light just down from the church, and there was a guy hanging out waving and honking the horn,” the bride explained.
“I didn’t think anything of it… by the time we got to the front of the church, the car pulled up, and this guy hops out and runs up to me! He says, ‘Hey, I’m Tom Hanks, and I just wanted to say good luck!”

Hanks isn’t the only celebrity that’s surprised a couple during their nuptials this year.
Taylor Swift showed up to perform a stripped-down performance of Blank Space at a fan’s wedding in New Jersey, coordinated by the groom’s sister.
Ali Singer, the groom’s sister, had reached out to Swift about the death of her and her brother’s mother in a touching letter, telling Swift how her brother had married his wife in the hospital so their mom would be there.
Max Singer, the groom, even danced to Blank Space for their mother and son dance before she passed away.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently made headlines for accidentally photobombing a beach wedding in Tofino, British Columbia in August.
Trudeau was all smiles in the background as the bride walked down the aisle.
Hanks, who has been married to actress Rita Wilson since 1988, seems to be a fan of social media. Last fall, he took to Twitter to help a Fordham University student save $20 and regain her student ID card.
The actor tweeted, “Lauren! I found your Student ID in the park. If you still need it my office will get to you. Hanx.”
