Airdrie crash leaves man in critical condition, police seek witnesses

Alberta RCMP are looking for witnesses to a crash that left an Airdrie man in critical condition earlier this week.

Airdrie RCMP responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 2 on Wednesday, just north of the Highway 72 overpass.

Police said a southbound Chevrolet Silverado crossed into the centre median and hit a vehicle that had been abandoned in the ditch.

The 66-year-old male driver had to be freed from the vehicle with the help of Crossfield Fire. He was transported by EMS to a Calgary hospital in critical condition.
