WINNIPEG — If you’re looking for a fun and free event, the Winnipeg Art Gallery is opening its doors and waiving admission the first Friday of every month.
Starting June 3, the the WAG is offering the deal, which begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. Casual, conversational guided tours are offered at 8 p.m., exploring the WAG’s permanent collection galleries.
“First Friday Nights at the WAG give everyone an opportunity to hang out at the Gallery and experience constantly changing exhibitions,” Dr. Stephen Borys, WAG Director and CEO said.
“Chagall, Funk, Tunnillie, and Warkov are some of the artists being featured this summer. First Fridays are yet another way for the WAG to engage with wider audiences and inspire the community through art.”
