Human remains found near Renous, NB

The Northeast District RCMP sent out a news release Sunday asking for the public’s help in identifying human remains that were discovered near Renous, N.B.

Around noon on Saturday the RCMP say canoers came across human remains on an island in the Renous River.

RCMP say the gender of the individual is not yet known, but the person was wearing jeans and camouflage boots.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

RCMP are asking anyone with information that could help identify the person to contact their local police or the RCMP at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
