Nitro Circus show at Calgary Stampede grounds cancelled due to weather

The much-anticipated, action-packed Nitro Circus show just wasn’t meant to be in Calgary this May long weekend.

The daredevil show was originally scheduled Saturday night at the Calgary Stampede but got rescheduled to Sunday, only to be forced to cancel indefinitely due to continuing inclement weather.

Nitro Circus said because of waterlogged Stampede grounds and high gusting winds, it would have been unsafe for its athletes to perform.

Just before 4 p.m. Sunday, a Facebook post on Nitro’s official account said the show was cancelled.

Fans who bought tickets online from Ticketmaster will have their money refunded automatically.

The rescheduled show was set to start Sunday at 4 p.m.

Fans that purchased their tickets at the box office or any other location should contact their point of purchase to receive their refund.
