KELOWNA, B.C. – Tim Varga has ‘walked the walk’ when it comes to dealing with an addict.
His son’s life spiraled out of control, leaving the Varga family to deal with crisis after crisis.

Realizing his family wasn’t alone, he and his wife wrote a book about dealing with their son’s addiction and what works best.
Varga says tough love is the only way to help an addict face their own reality and seek out help.
The Vernon author spoke at a Canadian Mental Health Association event in Kelowna Thursday evening.
