Man injured in apparent pellet gun shooting in southeast Calgary

One man was taken to hospital on Thursday after being shot with what police suspect was a pellet gun.

Officers were called to the 800 block of 44 Street S.E. at around 8:15 a.m. for reports of a disturbance.

When they arrived, emergency crews found one man suffering from minor soft-tissue injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition. Investigators said the injuries he sustained were consistent with that of a pellet gun.

Police took two men into custody, but as of Thursday at 10 a.m., were still searching for one more suspect.

Investigators believe the victim and the suspects were known to each other.
