WINNIPEG – The fire burning near Caddy Lake is now more than 50 percent contained. And according to a provincial map shows is listed as “under control.”

But confusion remains as to just how big the one burning north of there is.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

On that same website the fire at Beresford Lake is listed as 50,000 ha in size.  But the noon fire bulletin from the province says that fire actually grew slightly to 75,000 ha overnight, and is only 30 percent contained.

Evacuation orders remain in effect.
