PENTICTON — Thousands of outdoor recreation enthusiasts and curious minds are spending time checking out the largest RV show in the B.C. Interior this weekend.
“It gets bigger and more known every year. We are getting more people coming to it and more exhibitors coming to it,” says Allen Mullins with the B.C. Interior RV Society.
More than 100 RVs, trailers, motor homes, fifth wheels and campers are on display at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre and the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Mullins says there’s been a trend towards the purchase of smaller RVs and trailers and even more people expressing interest in calling one of them home year-round.
“A lot of these RVs are nicer than what people are living out of in their apartments. We get a lot of people who are going to living full-time in their RVs,” says Mullins.
The B.C. Interior RV Show continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $5 and those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the local food bank.
