CHILLIWACK, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors took the first game of the BCHL Fred Page Cup final Friday against the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Netminder Matthew Greenfield took his first shutout of the playoffs, stopping 37 shots on goal for the 2-0 win.

Kylar Hope opened the scoring late in the first, while Kyle Marino took a rebound in the second.

Hope hit the boards hard at the end of the second, but Rylan Bechtel was not given a penalty for his participation. Hope returned for the third period of play.

Chilliwack hosts game two Saturday night and play returns to Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna Monday night.
